This task will be divided into 3 parts. Part 1: Pre Field Work - Steps 1-4 Step 1: - Identifying the area of fieldwork Step 2: - choose ONE question from the list provided in your fieldwork booklet Step 3: - identifying the primary and secondary sources needed to complete the field work Step 4: - describing how the sources will answer your chosen question To be completed in the fieldwork booklet provided. Part 2: Fieldwork (Excursion) - Steps 5-6 Step 5: Most of this will be done on the Excursion. You are expected to submit your excursion notes. It is meant to be a little messy. You need to take photographs and gather evidence to answer your ONE chosen question Step 6: To be done in your booklet. This is where you analyse your fieldwork and secondary sources. Part 3: Response - Step 7-8 Will be completed in class in a timed (exam) situation. You will need to bring in your fieldwork booklet to assist you. You will answer the chosen question in class on this day. You can use your fieldwork booklet to assist you, HOWEVER, you CANNOT write your ENTIRE RESPONSE IN YOUR BOOKLET. ONLY THE NOTES FROM THE EXCURSION. The fieldwork booklet and the response to the question will both be marked and will make up your final mark for this assessment. You will be undertaking fieldwork at Narrabeen, Collaroy and / or Dee Why Beach and investigating the geographical issues affecting the coast in those areas. Written response: 13-16 Develops and implements a Research Action Plan that explores both human impacts and attitudes towards coastal environments using adequate investigative skills.Collects, analyses and attempts to synthesize at least two primary and at least two secondary sources that support the investigation. Fieldwork: 21 - 30Discusses attitudes towards coastal management and suggests some relevant suggestions to improve the situation. Uses specific terminology that links to the investigation and shows an understanding of more simple geographical concepts. Written response: 9-12 Develops and attempts to implement a Research Action Plan that explores human impacts and /or attitudes towards coastal environments using limited investigative skills.Collects and/or analyses at least one primary and at least one secondary source which attempts to support the investigation.
