Date of birth: 29 March 1993 Place of birth: La Louviere, Belgium Position: Midfield Nationality: Belgian Previous clubs: Lens International levels played at: Belgium full international, Belgium Under-21s, Belgium youth  Thorgan Hazard's transfer from FC Lens was completed on 24 July 2012. He is two years younger than Eden, who joined Chelsea from Lille the same summer, but is of similar height and build and plays a similar range of attacking positions. He initially joined Chelsea's Under 21 squad, managed by Dermot Drummy, to continue his pre-season training, and he appeared in our inaugural competitive fixture at that level, coming on as a second-half substitute in a 0-0 draw against Manchester City, and in a NextGen Under-19 match against CSKA Moscow. On 31 August he moved on a season-long loan to Belgian top-flight club SV Zulte Waregem. The then 19-year-old made his debut for SV Zulte Waregem in their 1-0 win against OH Leuvem in September 2012 and impressed as his loan club were narrowly beaten to the title by Anderlecht. In July 2013, it was announced that Hazard would return to Zulte Waregem for the whole of the 2013/14 season and after a good start, in January 2014 he was awarded the Golden Shoe for the best player in the Belgian domestic league during 2013. He was also named most promising young player. The 2013/14 season was a positive step in Hazard's development, and he will be helped by the fact he made 48 appearances over the course of the campaign, scoring 16 goals. He will also benefit from having gained experience of European football in the Europa League. In July 2014 it was announced Hazard would spend the 2014/15 campaign on loan at German side Borussia Monchengladbach. Should they both play for the Chelsea first team, the Hazards will join a list of previous Chelsea brothers - Ray and Graham Wilkins, Ron and Allan Harris, John and Peter Sillett and Chris and William Ferguson. Pre-Chelsea Thorgan too learnt his trade at a club in northern France, having moved to Lens as a 14-year-old. He graduated into the senior squad for the 2011/12 season and made his debut as a substitute in the first league match of the season, going on to make 14 league appearances in total. Both of Thorgan and Eden's parents were footballers, and Thorgan in his early years was at the same club as his brother - Tubize in Belgium. International  A Belgian youth international, he represented his nation at Under-16, Under-17, Under-18 and Under-19 level and played at the 2011 European Under-19 Championship.   After representing Belgium Under-21s, he made his full international debut as a second-half substitute for Chelsea team-mate Romelu Lukaku in the May 2013 friendly win over USA. Hazard was rewarded for an impressive 2013/14 when he was named on the standby list for Belgium's World Cup squad. Mourinho went to watch Thorgan against Anderlect. Why would he travel if he wants to sell him? Thorgan Hazard won the Golden Boot in January and now player of the year in Belgium. He is 21 years old, scored 14 goals and 17 Assists. That's a pretty damn good return even if it is in Belgium's league. Some of his goals have been spectacular. I wouldn't sell Thorgan, at worst I would loan him and NOT to Liverpool. We don't want him sitting on the bench. Everton will be a good side who may give him chances. Otherwise if Jose seems him good enough why not at Chelsea FC. Based on his statistics he scores and assists which is what we look for right. Eden seems to think Thorgan is better than him. If that's anything to go by, perhaps in 2 years he will reach Eden's quality. On 19 July 2012 Lens announced on there official website that Hazard has joined Chelsea by saying A boy of 19 years his elder brother who signs in Chelsea, and is urged also by the same club, who won the Champions League! Congratulations to Thorgan. After, unfortunately we can not go against such an opportunity for the boy. Good luck to him, and he continues to work and grow. The younger Hazard has been described by youth coach Eric Assadourian as a technically gifted player who can settle a match by himself with ease and his older brother has stated that he believes Thorgan is the better player of the two. Chelsea have loaned Belgian youngster Thorgan Hazard back to his homeland with Zulte Waregem taking him for the season. The 19-year-old followed his brother Eden to Stamford Bridge in the summer when he signed from French side Lens. But rather than spending the season with their development squad, they have opted to send him on loan to gain first-team experience with Zulte. Zulte Waregem is a club that gives young players opportunities under the wings of experienced players. There is a good mix here, said Hazard after completing his move. They give opportunities to the youth and that was the deciding factor. I think it´s much better to see him playing there.  Juan cuadrado While Fiorentina's Juan Cuadrado is undoubtedly a fantastic player, neither he nor  Chelsea would benefit if he moved to Stamford Bridge. El Mundo Deportivo  (h/t  Metro )   are reporting that the Colombian winger is of interest to Blues boss Jose Mourinho as the Stamford Bridge outfit look to hijack a long-term move for the player byManchester United:  [Fiorentina have] told the player he can leave for £36 million, and while United and Barca have both made bids and are in talks over a deal, ElMundo Deportivo says Chelsea are now firmly in the race. The newspaper says the decision to allow Marko Marin to join Fiorentinahas sweetened the deal  –  and the Blues now hope that they will be the preferred bidders. German midfielder Marin has joined the Serie A side on a season-long loan, per 101 Great Goals, fuelling speculation concerning Cuadradogoing the other way: However, Cuadrado and Chelsea need only look at Marin's situation to see why it is unnecessary for the Colombian to join the Blues. The 25-year-old Marin joined Chelsea two years ago but has failed to nail down a first-team spot due to the plethora of other options in his position. Similarly, Cuadrado — whose preferred position is on the right flank — would face serious competition for a first-team spot from the likes of Willian, Mohamed Salah and  Andre Schurrle. Equally, the presence of Oscar, Cesc Fabregas and Eden Hazardsimply drive home the point that Chelsea are incredibly strong in the attacking midfield positions and are already well set. While Cuadrado is hugely versatile and scored 11 goals and assisted five in Serie A last season, per  WhoScored, his purchase would cause problems rather than solving any which, frankly, don't exist.. In trying to accommodate so many players in similar positions,Mourinho could alienate or aggravate one or many of his star players. Furthermore, one of the reasons why United are reportedly interested in the 26-year-old Cuadrado is his ability to play at wing-back, per Squawka's Tim Simon: However, Mourinho does not implement such a formation which requires wing-backs, and even at right-back he has terrific depth inBranislav Ivanovic and Cesar Azpilicueta.  Thus, any areas in which Cuadrado might be utilised by Mourinho are already packed to the rafters with talent, and the Colombian is not a necessary addition for Chelsea's success — conversely, his arrival may have a negative effect. Equally, the £36 million Chelsea would reportedly have to spend onCuadrado could be spent much better in other areas, specifically to add cover in the strike department. Despite the additions of Diego Costa and Didier Drogba over the summer, an injury to either would leave the perennially under-performing Fernando Torres with great responsibility. Drogba is 36 and Costa is injury-prone — as seen at the end of last season — and a new striker would be a much better use of Chelsea's money than splashing out on Cuadrado, per The Daily Telegraph 's Paul Hayward:
