P ITC EARLY COLLEGE HIGH SCHOOL PROGRAM High School Diploma + College Degree TWO MAJORS ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING TECHNOLOGY Students at P-TECH are matched with a professional mentor, take core academic classes and also college classes, and gain professional work experience, all during their high school years. Students successfully completing the program will graduate with: NYS Regents Diploma or a Regents Diploma with Advanced Designation Technical Endorsement MECHANICAL TECHNOLOGY Students select their major prior to their junior year Industry-Recognized Certification No-cost Associate in Applied Science degree from Onondaga Community College in Electrical Engineering Technology or Mechanical Technology Skills and knowledge required to obtain wellpaying, high-potential jobs in advanced manufacturing WHO Any SCSD 8 th grade student may apply to P-TECH. Interested in engineering, robotics, math, or science? You may be a good candidate for P-TECH! COST There is no cost to attend P-TECH. Tuition, books, and fees are covered. WHERE Classes take place both at SCSD s Institute of Technology at Central (ITC) and Onondaga Community College (OCC). APPLY There is no entrance exam for P-TECH. During the 8th grade year, apply online at or in person at the Student Registration Center (1005 W. Fayette St.). All applicants (accompanied by a parent or guardian) must complete an in-person interview with P-TECH staff.
