  Introduction: Leadership Diversity: -   Male and Female -   Good and Bad -   Geography Qualities Conclusion: -   Opinion of the group on leadership  Introduction Our world today, has become a dynamic place to live, and is full of challenges. In this ever changing world, there are ample situations when one is faced with dilemma and cannot decide about the future ahead. So common is this situation that, we perceive such dilemmas today in every sector- be it government, non- profit or the business sector. And, with the rapid digitalization and advanced reach of technology, the options and related trade-offs are becoming more and more confusing. Given this situation, it is imperative to state that leadership is the need of the hour. In fact, the need for leadership is more now than ever before. In our current business world, we cannot afford to restrict leadership just to the top management positions. Every employee, every engineer should rise in to a leadership role. They should step in to solve customer problems; they should step in to solve internal company problems.  As far as the definition of the term is concerned, a lot has been said and heard about it, and yet it continues to vex popular consultants and lay people alike. While some experts argue that , leadership has got nothing to do with the seniority or one’s position in the hierarchy of a company, some are of the opinion that leadership is not concerned with one’s personal attributes. In the light of such arguments, there are diverse definitions of leadership available both online and offline. However, one philosophy that is present underneath all of them, is as follows  “ Leadership is a process of social influence, which maximizes the efforts of others, towards the achievement of a goal”    Leadership is about mobilizing people, maximizing efforts and taking that additional step to achieve the results. With this intention in mind, we have analyzed and presented a report on leadership and various theories related to leadership. The report aims to study some of the persistent factors influencing leadership, as well as highlighting appropriate examples as and when relevant.  Leadership Styles Charismatic Leaders These are the leaders who lead with passion and use charm to gain followers. They believe one should put the people first, and the people are the most important. That is why charismatic leaders have so many followers, because those followers believe they have a voice and the leader is looking directly to them to give the best advice they can. Charismatic Leaders will excite something inside the followers that make them feel relaxed and able to have their voice heard.    Winston Churchill  was a very charismatic leader. He made people believe in him because he led well with a direct attitude. He would not put up with candy coating things. He told them like they were, and that is where people approved of him. Search his quotes on Google. He has many that will make you chuckle. He attracted people that way. He had a good sense of humor and people respected him. Transformational leadership This is the type of person who shows people their visions and why they are passionate about specific things. People follow them because their passions are so honest. This type of leader never asks to be followed; people follow them because their mission is so wonderful. This leader motivates followers and makes followers feel empowered using their own beliefs. The followers become inspired by the messages the leader talks about.    Martin Luther King Jr.  had a vision that a lot of people during his time agreed with, but those people were too afraid to talk. He tried to empower people to act upon their own beliefs and stand up for those who will not. He went around giving speeches to ignite passion in others, though he never asked to be a leader or for people to follow him. He just wanted people to feel confident enough to stand up for themselves. Servant Leadership  Leaders who choose to take care of everyone else before themselves have a Servant style of leadership.  A servant leader is someone who acts like the one to help everyone else, not acting like a king, but someone less than everyone else. Instead of forcing what they want on everyone, they give their followers what they want. Typically these are the leaders who listen more than they speak. Mahatma Gandhi was someone from humble beginnings who wanted to see change in the world. Since no one was doing what they wanted, he did it himself. He treated each individual he met like their own specific person, never treating people the same. He sat and listened to everyone. Many thought he was not a fantastic speaker, but he made everyone feel important when he talked to them. He told people what his beliefs were and he never strayed from the path.  Good Leadership vs. Bad Leadership
