Open the X Y Graph Configuration screen, and set the following conditions:- set the Current Point at the one given by the instructor - set the Variable at the one given by the instructor - under the Y Variable , set the Train , Current Point , and Variable tothose given by the instructor - set the Source at the time frame given by the instructor, and set the Trend Value at Maximum unless otherwise instructed- the Output will be to the Screen , the Format will be to a Plot , andthe Scaling will be Auto - at your discretion, you may add the Time or Sample Number Ticmarks- select OK to display the plot. Look at the relationship between the Xand the Y quantities. In other words, as X increases, what happens to Y? Open theMulti-Variable Trend plot, and set the following conditions:- set your first point in the Current Point section at the top of the screen. Make sure the Current Train is the one specified for this exercise. Thenset the Variable selection as specified- under Source , select Data Manager , and under Trend Value ,select Average - now select Comparison Points .- select the points specified by the instructor. Make sure you select thecorrect train, point, and variable for each point. When you have these threesettings correct, select the right arrows > > to place the point you haveselected into the active screen. Repeat this process for all the points given by the instructor. Remember that you have already set the first point in the previous configuration screen; you only have to configure the remaining points after the first one. When this screen is complete, select OK .- at your discretion, you may select RPM , Time , or Sample Number Tic marks- select OK to display the plot. When you first do this, there will be nodata on the screen since this is a live Fast Trend kind of data presentation. The data will begin to appear over a short period of time- once the data is presented, look the plot over.
